FINAL PROJECT

T-SHIRT

Use the design as assigned in class. Reverse image (if needed). Save as a pdf and email to instructor. To apply the printed design onto the shirt it is best to read the instructions that came with your t-shirt printing paper.

Printing a t-shirt design using your inkjet printer:

  • If your printer has a setting for t-shirts you will not have to reverse the image. (I find this setting dulls the intensity of the design, at least on my printer the Lexmark X1150)
  • If your printer does not have a t-shirt setting you will have to reverse the image. To do this you need to use the reflect tool in Illustrator to reverse the image. Then you will need to print using the best settings.
  • Always be sure that your image fits within the printing area of the page or part of your image will be cut off.

You can iron it on yourself or take it to a t-shirt shop with a heating press used especially for this application. There may be a small charge of about $2 to have this done. FYI This type of shop usually has t-sirts at discounted prices.
