John Follis is one of the founding fathers of Environmental Graphic Design. His book, "Architectural Signing and Graphics," is a must read for anyone interested in the profession, and one of the best books on Environmental Graphic Design.

The Society of Environmental Graphic Design (SEGD) awarded John Follis a Fellow Award in 1989. The SEGD Board presents this annual award to distinguished individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to SEGD and who have achieved excellence in the profession.

John attended The Art Center School from 1947 to 1949, and taught there for many years. John Follis was totally dedicated to architectural signage and graphics.
