PROJECTS
Each project is worth 250 point and will include site planning, a site map, wire-frame designs, storyboards, roughs and sketches and final html files turned via uploaded to your web space. Each project will build upon your design and aesthetic sensitivity while giving you real problems to solve with the computer technology. This will increase your knowledge of the computer programs and give you a real world understanding of the scope and appropriateness of each in association with the project. The specific details of these projects and grading guidelines will be presented in assignment briefs.
#1 Site Makeover
Due 3/2/10
You will choose between the three bad sites you reported on for your first site analysis. You can use Illustrator or Photoshop to create an image map of home page for this assignment. You must submit the following for this assignment:
Design Brief - due 2/11
Mood Board - due 2/16
Thumbnails - due 2/16
Three Digital Roughs of home page - due 2/23
Home page uploaded to your site - due 3/2/10
#2 Non Profit organization
Due 4/6/10
Select a non profit organization to use as your client. It is a good idea to choose an organization that you have an affiliation. For this project you will be using Iluustrator or Photoshop and Dreamweaver. You must submit the following for this assignment:
Design Brief - due 3/4
Mood Board - due 3/4
Thumbnails - due 3/9
Three Digital Roughs of home page - due 3/16
Site development three pages - due 3/30
Three site pages, including the home page, uploaded to your site - due 4/6/10
#3 Portfolio site
Due 5/11/10
For this project you will be using Iluustrator or Photoshop along with Dreamweaver and/or Flash. You must submit the following for this assignment:
