Earth Day Campaign
April through November

Create a color poster (four color process) that informs us about an event affiliated with Earth Day. Domestic or International events are planned. For more information check out the Earth Day website. Must choose a famous artist style to create the poster.

• Use Illustrator to create an informative and creative poster.
• Size 8.5 x11 or larger
• Who is your favorite artist? Van Gogh? Monet? Degas?
• Use your favorite artist's style to create the poster.

Research
• Research Earth Day.
• Research type faces, artistic styles.
• Research our library of stock photography, use your own photography and or illustrations.
• Can use Earth Day logo or create your own.
• Create a list of 25 words that are associated with the company chosen.
• Research famous poster designers; David Lance Goines, Will Bradley, Dennis
Wheeler, Paul Rand, Erik Nitsche, Otis Shepard, Milton Glaser, Ruspoli Rodriquez, and others.

Thumbnails
#100, (25%), pencil on tracing paper.
Thumbnail approval is required to proceed to roughs. Lyout information, placement of visuals.
Decide on color palette.

Roughs
On the computer.
Rough approval is required to proceed to comprehensive.

Comprehensive
The digital comprehensive should be created in Illustrator. You can use Photoshop for scanning only and minor image adjustment. This project must be created in Illustrator using its tools and special effects.

Presentation
Mount comprehensive on black mat board making sure there is at least a 2” border around poster on the top and sides with a 2.5” border at the bottom.
